Chugging Along 12/9/2021

Hey everyone!

As you can tell, I am slowly chugging along through my book. It is honestly so interesting to learn more about the Cold War and the Soviet-American relationship. Other than reading this amazing book, I have started taking courses on peacekeeping through the United States Institute of Peace. Something I greatly appreciate regarding this book is how powerful the development of trust and personal relationships is to maintaining peace, especially during a time like the Cold War. Hopefully you have been able to access the Das paper on Modernization and Russian Culture. If you have, this has the opportunity to give some background on Russian culture during this time.

I love learning about this special individual, he discusses the importance of developing relationships when it comes to international affairs, the path he took in becoming trustworthy, and how he gained access and as a mover and shaker to some amazing events. Who do you think it is?
